Rookie Cup Wrap-Up
A huge weekend at Van der Heyden’s with round 1 of the Rookie Cup! Thank you to all the club members who helped out, especially those that built the new track and all the cooks and helpers on the barbecue set-up.

Reminder about racing
Just another quick reminder that club racing starts early next month; Tue 6 Oct for Dirt Crits and Thu 8 Oct for Road Racing. (Dirt Critters - Junior Dirt Crits - will also start on Tue 6 Oct.)
New AusCycling memberships
In case you haven’t heard directly from AusCycling, they’ve updated and simplified their membership categories and moved to a new payment platform. The next time you renew, or if you’re joining for the first time, it will be through a new online platform called Just Go. You can either pay for 12 months upfront or pay monthly. And if you haven’t been a member before, they’re still offering a 30-day Trial Membership for free!
What are the new categories?
RIDE - If you ride but don’t race, this is the membership for you. It’s only $149 (Reduced to $99 for 13-18 year olds and over 65s) and includes all the benefits of the AusCycling insurance cover.
CLUB - This is perfect for MMBCC members who only want to do our races, with maybe in dabble in other club events, for example, roadies doing do some of the Seymour Broadford Cycling Club’s road races. At $249 for adults (Reduced to $149 for 13-18 year olds and over 65s) it’s quite a bit cheaper that the Race - All Discipline that was required previously.
RACE - If you want to do any National or State level events, such as the VDHS or State XC Championships at Eildon, this is the one you’ll need. It’s $319 for adults, which is a little bit cheaper than the Race - All Discipline too. And it’s reduced to just $169 for 13-18 year olds and over 65s!
Under 13s get a RACE membership for $99.

AGM reminder
Another reminder that the Annual General Meeting will be held at the Mansfield Hotel on Thursday 8 October, after the first road race of the summer.

The club is having an ‘audit’ of our loan bikes. If you’ve got one, can you please email Bruce know with a quick note? We don’t necessarily need all the bikes back, we’ve just lost track of who has what.
