Hanover ConnectEast Ride for Home

It’s time for Tour de EastLink!

The Hanover ConnectEast Ride for Home returns on Sunday, 13 November 2011.

Join me in riding non-stop along EastLink from Ringwood to Frankston and back, while supporting a great cause, to help Hanover break the cycle of homelessness.

This is a great opportunity for your club’s cyclists to ride on Melbourne’s smoothest and safest motorway in a completely traffic-free environment.

There are three categories within the 75km Challenge Ride:

Team Challenge Time Trial – teams of up to 10 members (minimum 6) working together on the open road to complete the 75km course in the best possible time.

    75km Personal Challenge Ride

Individual Challenge – a chance for individual riders to test themselves against the clock.

Gerro’s Personal Challenge – join me on an untimed ride from Ringwood to Frankston and back.

Last year the 75km Team Challenge Time Trial was won by Croydon Cycleworks in 1:45:32, and Joseph Krusec took out the individual 75km event in 1:56:43. Is Mansfield Mt Buller Cycling Club up for the challenge?

It would be fantastic if you could please promote this event within your club via your website, newsletters, emails and social media channels.

Entries are now open at www.rideforhome.com.au and I encourage riders to not delay in registering.

I look forward to seeing you out on EastLink on November 13.

Regards,

Simon Gerrans
